At 5:00 AM I wake up knowing Objects had been updated, and never could go to bed again. Who say I’m obsessed? The weird thing is that it was updated. SO I spend two hours reading that lovely 8 parts chapter.
I notice that in times of stress this fandom thing takes an adiction note in me. I don't like that. So I'm pourspusly using the net only at night and a little bit at morning. Two years ago, I felt the fandom thing got out of control, I spend conect a lot, and I was always thinking of it while I was away. I don't want to gt back to that. I want it as a hobby, a relax one, not an obsession.
Went with the kids to watch "A series of unfortunate events", I had fun. I haven't read the books yet cause they are not available in Chile (Damn third world, I love it, but the lack of books is annoying). I had the suspicions that as always, the book must be best.
Even thou, I think the movie could generate anxiety in the kids, those unprotect children with no competent adult around to trust, and at the end the conflict is not solved at all.
My kids enjoy it. Athena find it confusing, she say the plot wasn’t that clear. And then start asking me non stop what would happen if we die, who will take care of them, etc. I pick it as an opportunity to reassure them, if we die, yoe'll stay at home, and your grandparents will raise you (Poor kids, considering my mum and my monster in law, I'd better stay alive). Also you got your aunts and uncles and godparents. You'll stay at the same school, etc.
Oedipus comment that the kids has no super hero power but they got the power of knowledge, the one you get by reading. Reading enhance your intelligence, was his conclusion. Lovely boy!
I had a three days migraine, and it went over once I take a muscular relaxant.
Things with hubby are lot better. We had a few more rows, and then we sing the armistice. We are both tense, so instead of chewing our head off we need to support each other. Better said than done, but at least we are taking the “snapping” as it come. An expression of stress, we are both insuferable right now.
Talk to mum about her “unfortunate comments”. She deny, say she never said that, etc. But I was firm and the message get trough her.

Date: 2005-02-07 04:38 pm (UTC)The movie was actually made from the first three books. And there are many, many more after that, which is why it seems that it is unresolved. I can start looking for a set to send to you. Might have to be an english-language set, as they are the easiest to find here.
OOO, now I have a good excuse to comb the used bookstores! Yay!!
