Thanks for all your useful tips. Let's see if I'm a good learner. My last 2 posts here at DW didn't have a  footer if I had been a good student this post should have a proper footer. Feel free to comment at LJ or DW, whatever suit you best.

I forgot to tell everyone that I maintain my nocturnus33nocturnus33  name at DW, even If I'm not 33 yr old anymore but 46. I'm still trying to understand DW. I hope I have friend people properly.

Does any of you know if it is possible to crosspost from a DW blog to a LJ community. I want to continue posting at 

sshg_hub .

I'm not sure about crossposting to a community, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer that.

That's interesting about the 33 in your name. My LJ/DW name used to be my middle name until I got married and changed my middle name to my maiden name!

It's a lovely name, it must be strange to change your name after marrying. In Chile we maintain our maiden name, the kids have both parents last names. First the men last name (patriarchal tradition) and then their's mothers last name. So, John A B married to Mary C D will have a kid called Peter A C.

Learning a new site is a pain! I'm not giving up my LJ unless absolutely everyone leaves. Even then, I may just stay there and talk to myself if I have to! :)

The only way to cross-post from DW is to pay them and select the comms you want to cross-post to. Free accounts can post to one, paid have three and premium paid have five: https://www.dreamwidth.org/support/faqbrowse?faqid=98&q=cross-post

I think you can change the journals you cross-post to as well.

Thanks for the link. I have decided to keep both but use this as the major one. I'm also backing some of my favourite fics posts only at Lj. For example, Tales of Snape stories, she hasn't been around in years, and her account will probably be deleted.

I've been poking around a bit on DW just to see what I can see. Now that I've taken a proper look at it all, it seems that you can only cross-post to personal journals. -_- Comms you have to post on each, sadly.

Tales of Snape as in the one who runs the One Bad Man page? That'd suck! I may have to go through and do the same for some of my favourite writers. :)

No, it's tales of Josan. I pot the name wrong. She is the one that wrote Man of property series and a lovely Ron/Snape called Aftermath.

You have to mark the option in your account settings.

sshg_hub is now also on DW. I haven't tried cross posting yet, but it should work? If not, let me know and I'll see if I need to set the setting to do so to LJ. I'm still trying to figure it out on DW. I've imported all LJ content to DW and it took days to get all the comments over there. Let me see if I can find you the link...
