What if Harry goes to the room of requirement and ask for the rest of the Horcruxes? I mean, why bother with 600 or more pages if it could be solve in the first paragraph?

Good point but still I'm not sure. What about all those lost things, and the books and things they use to DADA?

It can provide maps to the items in question and representations of what they are. Thus the room can tell Harry how to find them getting rid of the need to search.

Does the room have power over something which is/was not within the castle itself? I got the impression that its powers were limited that way, although it could be an impression.
