End Socail Education Master Project. The name is as pompous as Fudge. Hope the Dean aprove it because I will not amend a word of it, I swear. They don't pay me a dam for it.

Work in thesis too. Slwoly but aproaching to the sunset. Light at the end of the tunel.

Hubby take the kids to make more exams and then to watch the fantastic four.

I'm invited to particpated in a congress, it will be at montevideo. No money, no time for write a decent dessertstion, date due is on Sunday...but I want to go. Will see if I had any essay forgotten at my harddrive, will dust it and send it. The money? Well bad U want to be prestige U, I will use my encahments and try. It will be good to be alone in another country.

Tomorrow I'll see the therapyst.

social education, is that something in the direction of civil education or building social capital? sounds very interesting!

More the latter. It is the work with comunitty in an educational perspective. The idea is how to empower comunities, especialy the ones that are left out from the rest of the ociety, not in a way of "normalizing" them but like hlp them to self emancipated. Is sort of pedagogy of the opressed ones (cuoted from Paulo Freire)

bingo! if you can give me some more information about projects like these you will be my queen of communication! i will start my m.a. thesis in sociology next semester, and the general theme will be social inclusion/exclusion and best practices to combat poverty by self-empowerment. i would like to compare german and chilean strategies (suspecting that chilean projects will be much better ;-)). paolo freire is definitely a starting point for combating social exclusion in germany as well.

i also want to find projects who also involve the economy, i.e. elements of corporate social responsibility. i might just be looking for flying pigs ;-) or the holy grail, but before i talk to my professor in october, i have to have some examples up my sleeve. i will be in santiago for six weeks from next week on and hope to find at least something. i will give 'un techo para chile' a closer look. if find it also very interesting, because it involves students (maybe also from upper and middle class) helping people from lower classes. i like the way this can create empathy in those who will be the decision makers in their professional life later on.
