I think it would be interesting to look at how different cultures might use magic Agree, there are interesting authors like M. Eliade that study this. Also we could compare the mythical thinking vs Modern rationality, also greek Mythos to Logos change could help us. Jung and his arquetypes (?) could give us some hints too.
