Muder at the Cathedral

It could be a title for Agatha Christie’s work. But is not.
Two days ago a priest was killed in our cathedral. The murderer bath him self in the old priest blood and then tried to committed suicide. He was part of a Satanic Cult.
I'm shocked. This sort of things,in my streched mind, were part of weird first world things; in the far, far away kingdom, not here.

I know a lot of Satanists and none of them would do anything like that. They are convinced that Satan is just a misunderstood divinity adn they don't go around killing priests. Whoever this guy was he was genuinely crazy and it had nothing to do with Satanism. It's like Al-Quaida, you can't blame all muslims for that groups craziness.

Not that I think you are, mind you, but I can see a witch hunt starting up over this and I hate it when that sort of thing happens.

And as for it not happening 'here', well everyone thinks that.

Yeah, the problem that this will be a feast for strecht mind conservatives.
For me, a murderer is murderer, something horrible. The fact that there is an innocent victim, priest, worker, housewife, child, make my heart ache.

That is terribly nasty - the sort of thing that makes you feel uncomfortable whatever your religious beliefs. Because it is a horrible thing to happen in your neighbourhood.

I think wherever we live, we expect stuff like that to happen somewhere else.

True enough. Chile is sort of calm countrie. We are just 14 millions spred in a long surface.
Crimes has been mostly politicals.
I'm catholic, but I would be equally concern if the victim would has been a rabbi, a iman or whatever. I don't think religious belives are a excuse for separating people.
