The thing that a lot of younger readers, and well, people in general like to forget is what is supposed to be the most horrific is the simple fact that Voldie is a human being. A human being simply being capable of such attrocities is really far more horrifying then any monster ever created out of the human imagination. We know it does happen. We call men monsters to deny their humanity when we are trying to convict them. After all, do we really want to recognize the capacity for evil within ourselves even if it is still a lesser capacity then the example of evil in front of us?
