I have lots more fun writting Severus than Hermione. Why?
I have a more complete picture of him than hers. It is more easy and fluid.
Maybe my inner man is more developed? Duno. I dont have a clear answer.

Yeah. Making a PhD proyect at seventh year. I`m a teacher, I have find lot of intelligents and promisorious girls of that age...but please.
At the same time I doubt that intellect would be what make Severus look at her. (He would consider it, but I doubt it could be "the" motive).
