I have lots more fun writting Severus than Hermione. Why?
I have a more complete picture of him than hers. It is more easy and fluid.
Maybe my inner man is more developed? Duno. I dont have a clear answer.

I've sometimes thought of the same thing: as a SS/HG writer, why do I write from Snape's point of view more than Hermione's? I did a lot of soul-searching and I realized that in writing Snape as a man in love with Hermione we get to dwell on Hermione's best qualities as a woman. Maybe we project what we'd like a man like Snape, or any other man, to see in us; maybe we put those qualities in our versions of Hermione.

The risk of Mary sueish is great then. I'm currently using an narrator POV, but when it came to Severus I run fast...Hermione is hard.
Did you ever had difficulties to bring them toghether? I want to explore his capacity of tenderness, care and compassion (no pity), but I have troubles with that now.
