Alonso, my friend little nephew, was found dead in the sea. The family it's traveling to pick the body.
If night caught them in the road they will sleep in our house. I don't want to host them. I don't want to see their pain. I want to hide in my bed away from the world.
We will received them and hold them anyway. We will face the suffer of our people.

Date: 2010-03-06 11:40 pm (UTC)You get use to them living here. They are solved in very little time. But this destruction! I never experience something like this Shiv.
The destruction has something unreal in it. The lives taken were less than it could have been, but it doesn't make it less horrible. It were three tsunamis, an 8.8 ritcher scale earthquake and foreshocks that in truth are less intense earthquakes, but earthquakes none the less.
I find friends and they told me how they get away from the tsunami, their eyes and faces speak of terror. Most of the people who die were turists that run away in their cars after the first tsunami.
Places that I love, they don’t exist anymore.
Consider the economical effects on normal people life’s. We are a country that has work so hard, so hard to leave behind underdevelopment. We were so proud of being one of the few economies that were unscathed by the economical crisis, and this means twice the national reserves in lost! I have no idea how many years would take to recover that, to rebuild our region.
Today I’m really sad.
